7 Hot Mens Gift Ideas.

by Peter Albonich

I write about mens gifts and mens gift ideas, and I get asked a lot of questions about buying great gifts for men. And there’s one question that comes up more than any other. “What gift do I buy for the man who has enough money to buy anything he wants?”

This is of course pretty common. Lots of men just get out there and buy something if they want it, they don’t drop hints near birthday time hoping that the hint will be picked up and acted on. Almost by definition, if he wants it he’s already got it.

Not always of course, often it’s a question of cost. There are men with a list of wants that they would like to fill, but just can’t afford them. If your man is like that, and you can afford those gifts, then ask him and see what he’ll say, he’ll probably jump at the chance to tell you about those things he’d love the most but can’t buy for himself.

But lets assume for a moment that your man can afford what he wants, and so you’re a little stuck for ideas for unique and unusual birthday gifts or Christmas gifts that are going to get his juices going.

Here’s 7 ideas for gifts for him. He may love all of them, he may love none of them, but I doubt it. There’ll be at least one gift for him there that he’ll love. Some are extremely expensive and some aren’t.

1. Lingerie. Now of course I’m not the first person to suggest lingerie as a great gift idea for a man. But it works. Men love to see their women in hot lingerie, so it’s a gift for him that you wear for him. I see lots of lists of hot mens gifts ideas and lingerie is always there at or close to number 1. Affordable and it works.

No matter how many pieces of beautiful lingerie a woman has, if she selects well and chooses the right piece I can just about guarantee her man will love it, provided of course she wears it for him. It’s almost a can’t fail gift.

And you can get lingerie in all sizes, so girls you have no excuses to say that you can’t find your size. If your man loves you large he’ll love you large and wearing hot lingerie too.

2. Buy him an adventure gift. Not all men love adventure, but most do. And believe it or not there are companies that cater directly to that with all sorts of adventure. Things that a man with a death wish will love right down to subtle adventure like a romantic spa for 2 at a beautiful remote location.

And for all sorts of tastes. Would he love to do his first parachute jump? Try white water rafting? Drive a tank or a supercar? Go zero-g just like the astranauts do in training? You can give him a gift of any of these things and thousands more, from the extreme adrenalin gift to the gentle and invigorating and pampering gift. The adventure gift companies cater for all tastes in outdoors and adventure and adrenalin, even to beautiful and luxurious days like wine tastings and spa days. There’s something for everyone.

3. An eco holiday. There is a growing worldwide movement to charity and volunteer and ecological work and travel. Rather than just buy him a holiday in Europe, which is a little ho hum, why not buy him some volunteer travel with a difference. There are lots of companies which offer adventure travel with a twist, volunteer work that helps out those less fortunate than ourselves, both people and animals and the environment.

Perhaps he’d like to be in the wilds of Africa working with animals or maybe on a research vessel off the coast of Mexico counting turtles? It’s fun, it’s really exciting and it’s very different. It helps those less fortunate and it’s a great holiday and gift idea for him (and why not you too)?

It’s expensive often, but it a fabulous holiday. He’ll never forget it.

4 Chinese art. This is a favorite of mine because I lived in China for a while and just love Chinese art. We have so many pieces that we don’t have enough space to hang them all. From beatiful Chinese wall hangings to the absolutely fabuluous and quite unique teapots of Yixing, there are so many Chinese artworks that would go so well in so many of our Western homes.

Chinese art is extremely cheap compared to the equivalent in Western art. And it’s a mens gift with a difference.

5. An elephant painting. Another one for the man who likes his art. Painted by a real Asian elephant on paper which is made from elephant dung. Now before you wonder if I’ve gone mad check it out. The elephants really do the painting, I have a video of it on my website. And believe it or not they paint recognizable objects. The paintings look great, are extremely inexpensive, and would make a great artwork to hang near the table to stimulate some evening conversation with his friends.

6. And then there’s the man who has absolutely everything and doesn’t want for anything at all. Buy him a whale. You really can buy him a whale, although delivery is a little problematical, as is wrapping it up. What happens is that there are organizations like the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin trust that track and identify real individual whales and allow you to name a whale or dolphin just for him, so he has his own whale out there somewhere.

The money helps in the protection of our whales and gives him a unique and memorable gift.

So there’s 6 suggestions for great ideas for mens gifts for the man who has it all. Start at $10 for some right up to extremely expensive. It’s all up to you.

Now you don’t have any excuses to say “I have no idea what to buy him for his birthday” any more.

Christmas Dating Tips For Men

by Joseph Matthews

Let’s face it – single people are always on the look-out for a potential “significant other” to help round out their lives.

But this is especially true of the Christmas holiday season.

When we see our friends and loved ones come together with their spouses, the notion that you’re not in a relationship can become painfully obvious. This isn’t helped by the fact that the weather turns cold and we begin to spend more time indoors, allowing loneliness to settle in.

The holiday season may seem like an odd time to try and meet someone special, due to people traveling away from home and not having time to date. But it can actually be a great time to start laying the groundwork for future relationships.

So how can a man go about finding women during the holidays? Here are the top 5 things men can do to make sure they have a date by New Years.

1. Be A Friendly Flyer

If you have to fly at all during the holidays, take advantage of it as an opportunity to meet women. Air travel has become such a chore. You have to get to the airport early, you stand in lines a lot, and you sit around waiting for your plane to board. What most guys fail to realize is that when you have a lot of people waiting around, that’s the perfect time to be social.

Every time you see a woman waiting around for the same flight as you, take the time to start up a conversation with her. Most people are receptive to distractions to take away from the boredom of waiting for their flight to board and will be happy to pass the time talking to someone.

Not only that, but chances are if they’re flying out of the same city, the two of you could hook up after you return from the holidays. And if you’re traveling to the same destination, you could also meet up during the holidays.

2. Last Minute Shopping Is Better Than A Bar Or Club

Forget about having to go out to the club scene to meet women, the malls are where all the action is at during Christmas.

Christmas is the biggest retail season of the year, and people will always be running around trying to get their Christmas shopping done at the last minute. Just go to any mall or shopping center during the holidays, and you’ll find it packed to the brim with women trying to finish buying their gifts.

Find your nearest Mall, do some last minute shopping, but while you’re there, be sure to approach as many women as you can. If you can’t walk away from a mall during the holidays with at least five numbers, you’re doing something wrong.

3. Online Shopping Isn’t Just For Buying Gifts

During Christmas, lots of people do their shopping on the internet. According to Matthews, this is the perfect time to try online dating.

When people hop online to shop for Christmas gifts, that means they’ll probably hop online while they’re at home to help pass the time – and if they’re feeling lonely, they’ll usually take up internet dating by going to an online personals site.

There are a great deal of free online dating sites, but people are also in the mood to spend money during Christmas, so a lot of the paid dating services online will get lots of people signing up for them. So while you’re at home with the family, that’s the perfect time to hit the internet and start connecting with people through the online dating sites.

So what should you try during the holidays? For the free dating, you can’t beat social network sites like MySpace and Facebook. People will spend lots of time on these sites while they’re at home and bored. But if you’re looking for serious prospects, you’ll want to go for paid sites like Match.com, Yahoo Personals, or eHarmony.

Take some time to create a profile, browse for people in your local area, and start contacting them. By the time you get back home from the holidays, you’ll be ready to start lining up dates.

4. Exploit Family Hook-Ups

If there’s one thing you can usually count on, it’s that your family knows a lot of great prospects for dating.

I have yet to meet a mother who isn’t willing to play matchmaker for her son. It might seem awkward, but take advantage of this. Let your mother, sisters, cousins, sister-in-laws – pretty much any woman in your family – know that you’re looking to meet a great girl and would appreciate any help they could provide.

Lots of men are embarrassed to do this, but you’d be surprised at the results. The women your family has access to can be of incredibly high quality, and it makes the whole process of meeting new girls much easier.

5. Partake In Holiday Activities

Finally, taking part in holiday activities can really open up the doors to meeting new people.

People love to take part in activities during the holidays, whether it be caroling, arts and crafts, or charity functions. If you take part and are active in these types of events, this is a great way to meet people.

One year I volunteered for an organization that raised money to help homeless children, and I would wrap gifts at a local Borders Books in exchange for money for the charity. I can’t tell you how many women I met through that type of volunteer work. And it was easy to meet them, because they’d come up to me and wait there as I wrapped their gifts. Not only was I helping a good cause, I was also helping myself meet some fantastic people.

The best gift you could give yourself this holiday season is the gift of meeting new women. Don’t let yourself succumb to to the loneliness of being single over the holidays.
