How to Deal With a Breakup If You Still Love Your Ex

by John Dickerson

There is no easy answer to how to deal with a breakup when you are still in love. Breakups are emotionally draining at the very least, whether you are leaving or the one who has been left. There is no magic formula to take the pain away, but there are things you can do to make it as easy as it can be.

The first step is to accept that it has happened or is happening. It is nearly impossible to resolve a conflict or bring closure to a situation when one of the people simply refuse to look at the reality of it. We all like to hold on to romantic notions and memories of the past, but this isn’t the time to keep yourself in your room playing sappy love songs and staring at old pictures. You can only change what you acknowledge, and there is no use trying to pretend it away.

Secondly, to say it bluntly, cut the crap. Too many of us resort to manipulation because we lack the skills needed to express ourselves or handle conflict in a healthy way. If you don’t want the breakup and are genuinely devastated, tell them in a mature and rational way. Begging, pleading and pouting do nothing to better the situation, and are definately not how to deal with a breakup when you’re still in love.

Finally, take responsibility and drop the blame game. Skip the victim mentality and take responsibility for your side of the situation. Instead of making excuses and blaming others, acknowledge that you have contributed to the issue at hand. Dont make empty promises of change just to smooth things over for the moment. Buried issues always find their way to the surface again, so it is best to deal with it properly the first time. Take an honest evaluation of yourself and try to see it from their point of view.

If you are still in love and trying to figure out how to deal with a breakup, remember that handling it in a mature and honest way will greatly increase the chances of them taking you back. Many of us act in unhealthy and hurtful ways when we feel backed in a corner or hurt and vulnerable. You can make it through this rough time if you step back and take the time to think things through and make good, sound choices on how to move forward.

What To Look Out For In Valentine’s Day Flowers

by Sven Tucci

There are hundreds of kinds of flowers in the world and many of them have a significance attached. Roses, lilies, morning glories and more showcase the designs and colors that are abundant in plants. With Valentine’s Day round the corner, there will be even more attention heaped on them.

Getting flowers for your other half is more than just an act of love. What you choose to give always brings with it a specific message. With this in mind, it is best to learn more about the different flower species and what message they represent for each situation.

Some of us might decide not to include a card or note together with the flowers, in order to be mysterious. However, it is always a better idea to at least leave a little sweet message to remind your partner just how much you love them. They will be delighted regardless how short it may be.

There are other details that one might have to keep in mind when selecting what flowers to buy for the other half. Many individuals have been stumped when faced with the task of doing so. Some of the things to look out for will include the following.

1. Find out what specific type of flowers your partner prefers. If they like roses, there is no reason to get them lilies. The colors are also important. These are all questions you need to ask early in the relationship.

2. Make sure to include a personal note together with the bouquet of flowers. Take the effort to write it down and put some emotion and feelings into it. Both men and women enjoy loving messages so it is better to have them than not.

3. While it has always been said that women love extravagant gifts, do not overindulge. Sending a bouquet of 100 roses is overdoing things and might send the wrong signals. You would not want to be known as a person that spends too much money especially during bad economic times.

4. Ordering flowers via the Internet might save you some money. However, make sure you do enough research beforehand in terms of the type of flowers you want. This is to avoid making errors such as getting morning glories when you really wanted roses.

Finding the Right Carat for You

by Daniel Joines

Carat, in the jewelry industry, is the term used to measure a diamond’s weight. Not to be confused with karat, which is measures the purity of gold alloys, one carat equals to 200 milligrams and is divided into 100 points.

While a carat can be used to determine the weight of a gemstone, having the same carat weight does not necessarily mean that the gems are of the same size.

Some diamonds are denser than others and can pack more weight into a smaller space. Also, a diamond’s appearance in size can be determined by the type of cut it has, making the seen surface bigger, thus possibly making a smaller diamond of less carat look bigger.

When taking about smaller diamonds than weigh less than a carat, the measurement is often expressed in points, for a total of 100 points per carat. So a diamond that is .25 carat is equal to 25 points.

Since large diamonds are rare and are in more demand than smaller diamonds of the same quality, they are much more expensive. For example, a 2-carat diamond would fetch a heftier price than 2 1-carat diamonds of the same quality.

So when looking at buying a diamond, it’s best to consider what carat you’re looking for. When comparing different diamonds, make sure that they are of similar quality and features.

Calculating the price per carat is a great way to compare costs of similar diamonds. Divide the cost of each stone by its carat weight to come up with its price per carat.

There are also other things to consider in terms of diamond carat and size when looking to buying a gemstone. The type of jewelry setting will also be important.

The most commonly purchased diamond piece is the engagement ring. When buying one, consider your budget and explore different options as there are a range of carats and sizes that will be within your budget.

A diamond can be an expensive and important purchase, so make sure that you explore all your options and research on diamonds before you buy one.
